Description
Glycerine is a versatile and valuable chemical. It possesses a unique combination of physical and chemical properties and has been demonstrated to be suitable for use with teat spray. Useful as a topical sweating agent, for poultices to help remove fluids from inflamed and swollen areas, as well as for use as a skin softener. An all-purpose lubricant which may be used by the operator for calving’s, foaling’s, lambing’s, farrowing’s, embryo transplant work etc. Can also be used as an ingredient to preserve fish bait. Crude glycerine is used in Animal feed. Glycerin is mildly antimicrobial and antiviral and is suitable for cleaning wounds. Glycerol has been shown to be an effective treatment against ketosis in dairy cattle.This treatment applies to the following species:
Beef Cattle: Glycerin may provide some relief from constipation.
Cats: Skin treatment
Dairy Cattle: Suitable for use with teat spray and to treat dry skin.
Dogs: For routine cleaning and removal of ear wax and debris. Suited to puppies and adults.
Horses: Administer orally (dose syringe not included) 30mL to 60mL as needed.
Swine: Used as a moisturizer to treat or prevent dry, rough, scaly, itchy skin, and minor skin irritations.
Side Effects Associated with Using Glycerine
Excessive bowel activity. Cramping. Rectal irritation. Cramping rectal pain.
Not for use in horses intended for food
